Off Stage Dance & Theatre Company provides a varied dance curriculum for public and private students grades 1 - 12 with classes including ballet, hip-hop, Caribbean , liturgical, modern, jazz and African. Other workshops and classes enhance the students' total well being; building self-esteem/self confidence, being the best YOU!, team-building skills, handling peer-pressure 101, fundamentals of rhythm for dancers, (for middle schools - college) entrepreneurial skills and basic etiquette workshops. Dance classes are age appropriate and currently provided through trained instructors.

Movement classes:

 
Creative Movement I (3-5yrs)
Creative Movement I is a 30-minute workshop for 3-5 year olds. It is designed for pre-school and kindergarten age children. Teachers combine stories and music to develop rhythm, flexibility, coordination, and space awareness. Students will be introduced to ballet terms that will help them decide if they would like to begin classical ballet training.
 
Creative Movement II (5-7yrs)
Creative Movement II is a 1-hour workshop for 5-7 year olds. Teachers combine stories and music to develop rhythm, flexibility, coordination, and space awareness. Students will be introduced to ballet terms that will help them decide if they would like to begin classical ballet training.
 
Ballet 1 (middle school through college)
Ballet I is a 1-hour workshop for ages 8 through 18. This is a beginning ballet class. Students are not expected to have any previous dance experience.
Students will be introduced to a complete full beginner's barre routine and 15 minutes of proper ballet terms that will help them decide if they would like to begin classical ballet training.
 
Hip Hop (all ages)
Hip Hop is a 1-hour class that allows the students to have fun learning the latest dance steps that are seen on the music videos while dancing for the Lord.
This is a fun, high energy, class for all ages.
 
African / Caribbean Sol Dance (all ages)
This class is a 1-hour workshop that keeps the students moving, laughing and sweating. This form of dance is high energy, FAST, exciting and full of rhythm.
The goal of this workshop is to gain the fundamentals of African / Caribbean dance and the history of its development around the globe. This dance class is based on techniques from West African dance and many islands in the Caribbean - e.g.: Bahamas , Jamaica, Trinidad , etc. Tribes such as Zulu; where they focused on unity, cooperative economics and family celebration.
 

Expressive Sign Language (all ages)
Have fun through sign language! This is a favorite for all ages. This 1-hour? workshop is fundamentally designed with age appropriation in mind. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce (or simply spark the interest of) hearing students to the deaf community. This is a beginning sign language workshop that teaches students: the manual alphabet, how to communicate in another language, movement with signs and 20+ classroom, and school related words that are FUN and exciting. If time allows, this class incorporates teaching the lyrics to a song. Students can then perform their new song and movement for their classroom, the entire school, their friends or family.
 
Jazz (8-18 years)
This workshop is a 1-hour beginning jazz class. This class incorporates lyrical as well as modern dance into the curriculum.
 
Liturgical (all ages)
(1 hour class) Learn about the prophets who danced and the terminologies and techniques they used for Warfare, Travail, Prophetic, Celebration, Praise and Worship. People often view Praise and Worship as the same. Some believe you can move in and out of the two, based on the direction of the song. This class teaches you the difference. The goal of this course is to kill the spirit of entertainment. It teaches how to apply biblical principles as it relates to dance.
 
Flags, Streamers & Ribbons (all ages)
(1 hour class) This workshop brings you MORE. More of everything! More colors, more props, more interactive sessions, more honor, praise and glory to God. You or your group will be inspired by Off Stage Dance & Theatre Company's passion. Through the use of flags, streamers or ribbons and songs every student will have a wonderfully unique experience of Liberation. Your organization will be blessed with the use of Flag Worship to lead people into or enhance the atmosphere of worship to Jesus. Flag pieces can reflect the theme of your school, your sport team, dance group, etc, as well as provide a new and unforgettable experience for you and your students. This class will dismiss the myth that "using flags is boring...and is only for parades and sports". Students are taught the meaning of colors as they experience the joy of vibrant colors, choreography and movement. If you choose, these workshops may also involve 1) putting together a piece that can be presented at general assembly or game days and 2) making their own practice flags. We offer a full weekend of workshops or a weekend conference which entails a powerful Friday evening w/ flag demonstrations and teaching workshops and Saturdays with a full day of workshops in all areas of flag ministry.
 
Warriors Workshop (all ages)
This workshop is an 2-hour practical hands-on workshop on using flags, streamers, and banners and other worship instruments in spiritual warfare. This workshop ends with a march in which students perform militant movements through a selected or targeted area in your school.
 
Men ONLY Workshop (all ages)
This workshop is just for men. Young men!!! It answers the question, "Why men love to dance strongly?" Practical hands-on teachings using dance, flags, and sticks to help young men activate their gift of dance outside of hip hop alone. Power-packed for men!
 
SPECIAL: Off Stage Productions is a full length theatrical Black Light drama production performed by your church cast to reach the lost in your community and city. This is a powerful, prophetic and anointed witness tool to use as a community evangelistic outreach. Off Stage Productions offers seasonal and year round productions.

Workshop Duration: You may choose from the following

One session/One class: (approx 1 hour) Designed to fit your school schedule.

All Day session: Various workshops throughout your campus for entire day.

Full semester: Includes OSD&TC once a week for the entire semester (12 weeks). Must be same workshop or if you choose various workshops, one must be same instructor.

Half semester: this includes OSD&TC coming once a week for the entire semester (12 weeks). Must be same workshop or if you choose various workshops, one must be same instructor.

Cost:
$100.00 for 10 - 50 students (one 1-hour session)
$200.00 for 51 - 100 students (one 1-hour session)
$500 for 101 - 500 students (one 1-hour session)
If 500 students or more you may want to consider various simultaneous workshops. This will include two or more instructors.
